NCC Event - Deck the Halls with...Invasive Species?
Sunday, December 6, 2015 - 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Help us conserve native forest and tallgrass prairie habitats in the Rice Lake Plains by removing young, non-native Scot’s pine trees on NCC’s Red Cloud and Hazel Bird Properties. If you wish, you can also take home a free Scot’s pine Christmas tree!
Participants will need to bring their own lunch and water (extra water and snacks will be provided).
Additional event details, including directions, will be provided after registration.

Bird Studies Canada Event - CBC4kids. Here’s an opportunity to introduce kids to bird-watching
Sunday, December 6, 2015 - 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: OFAH Heritage Centre, 4601 Guthrie Street, Peterborough

All ages are welcome but kids must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own binoculars.
Bird ID, citizen science and binocular use will be explained, with a visit to an active feeder.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required before Friday, December 4.
