Grow the Greenbelt Northumberland
THE FUTURE OF NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY
Wednesday February 24th, 2016 – Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the event starting at 7:30 p.m. This event is free.
Location - ‘The Loft’ (201 Division Street, 2nd floor, Cobourg, above Harden & Huyse Café).

Sustainable Cobourg invites you to join them in an evening that will help you to visualize the future of Northumberland County. The Provincial Land Use Advisory Panel, led by David Crombie, has released its report reviewing Ontario’s four land use plans making 87 recommendations, including “Grow the Greenbelt”. Northumberland County is a key area for this expansion but we need to let the Provincial Government know.

How will this impact Northumberland County? Why is it important? How can we show support? What does it mean for the future of Northumberland?

Agenda:
Growing in The Greenbelt – a short film
Growing Awareness in The Greenbelt: The history and natural history of the Lake Iroquois Plain presented by Mark Stabb, Program Director, Central Ontario, Nature Conservancy of Canada
Growing The Greenbelt – Panel and Q&A
