Topic: Culturing ‘at risk’ Mussels in Ontario
Speaker: Kevin Loftus, Manager of Fish Culture and Zoologist at the Ontario MNRF

Kevin will speak about multiple species of native mussels at risk in Ontario, their life history, causes of decline and efforts to culture and release them.

Sunday, February 28, 2016, - 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. - THE MESSENGER, a film about threats to songbird populations around the world.

Filmmaker Su Rynard will attend both screenings to talk about her research and film work and answer questions. Of special interest to birders, naturalists, backyard bird feeders and lovers of nature. The showing of The Messenger was organized with much assistance from Margaret Bain of WBFN. There will be a WBFN informational table at these showings.
This film is playing at The Loft (Harden and Huyse Café, 2nd floor) at 201 Division Street in Cobourg.
