Topic: Citizen Science and the Ontario Reptile and Amphibian Atlas

In Ontario, 75% of reptiles and 35% of amphibians are listed as at-risk. Emma will describe how this Atlas uses public participation to increase our knowledge of these threatened species.

Leader: Andreas Gada, owner of the observatory
Directions: Take Cty. Rd. 45 north to Cty. Rd. 29. Turn east on Cty. Rd. 29, past Burnley to Covert Hill Rd. Turn south. Follow Covert Hill Rd. south to #179. Follow the grassy lane to the Oak Heights Observatory.

Participants should wear warm clothes and bring a flashlight. This outing is weather dependent.
