Friday, May 26, 2017, 7:00 p.m. - WBFN President’s Walk to Webbview Marsh

This marsh is a Ducks Unlimited impoundment north of Roseneath.
Directions: Take Cty. Rd. 45 north to Coyle Rd. Go north (left) on Coyle Rd. to the intersection with Clark Rd. and park on Coyle. The walk follows the dike of the impoundment and is flat.


Saturday, May 27, 2017 - The Northumberland Land Trust Jack van Nostrand Nature Reserve Opening Celebration
2:00 pm: Welcome, President’s remarks, and view the property
3:00 pm: Refreshments at the Grafton Village Inn

Directions from the Esso station in Grafton: 1. Go south on Old Danforth Road for about 0.3 km. 2. At this point the road veers slightly right and becomes Station Road; follow it about 2 km to the first stop sign, south of the railway. 3. Turn left (east) and follow Orchard Grove Road 2.5 km to the site.


Sunday, May 28 - WBFN Napanee Plain Birding and Botany Outing
Leaders: Roger Frost and Val Deziel

We will look for Loggerhead Shrikes and other grassland species from roadsides. We will also visit Camden Lake Provincial Wildlife Area and Menzel Provincial Nature Reserve. This is an all day outing. Bring lunch, water, snacks and dress for the weather. Meet at 7 a.m. at the Cty. Rd. 45/Hwy. 401 commuter parking lot for carpooling. Or meet at the Napanee Tim Horton’s at 8:30 a.m. The Tims is just south of 401 on Hwy. 41, Exit 579.
