The second lecture of the 2014-2015 lecture series will be held at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy Street, Cobourg.

Doors open at 7:00 PM for light refreshments and the lecture starts at 7:30 PM. There is no charge for the evening.

The theme of Debbe Crandall's presentation will be:

The Moraine gives so freely of its water and its soil, the least we can do is learn more about it and get involved in efforts to keep it healthy. In 2015 the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan will be reviewed by the province. Join STORM and its partners in celebrating the Moraine and helping to make it even better.

Our speaker Debbe Crandall has been involved with the Oak Ridges Moraine Coalition (STORM) since 1990. She was its Executive Director from 1999 to 2012 and is currently acting as policy advisor/analyst to the Oak Ridge Moraine Partnership. Debbe represented STORM on advisory panels that resulted in Oak Ridges Moraine legislation, regional management plans, and held a number of positions, including Chair of the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation. Debbe has been a member of the Greenbelt Council since 2009 providing advice to the Minister of Municipal Affairs.

Best Wishes for this holiday season.
