Saturday, May 28, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - Cobourg Collegiate Institute, 335 King St. East

The Institute’s Learning and Life Skills students are having a plant sale in the west parking lot of the school. Our pollinator plants and bee boxes will be on sale along with plants from the Green Industries classes. (These students received a $250 grant from the WBFN to enable them to carry out this work.)

Friday, May 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. - President’s Walk

An outing to the property of Bruce and Paula Taylor south of Burnley. This property has a Ducks Unlimited wetland, deciduous and mixed forest and open meadow habitats. After exploring this property, we will go and listen for Common Nighthawks and Eastern Whip-poor-wills nearby. Meet at the intersection of Pratt Road and Cty. Rd. 29, south of Burnley. Park on Pratt Road as Cty. Rd 29 is a very busy road.

Thursday, May 12, 7:00 p.m. - Frank Godfrey’s property, 3074 Cornish Hollow Road

Frank has been doing restoration of native plants and trees on the property and is pleased to show it to WBFN. Directions: Cornish Hollow Rd. runs north from Cty. Rd. 74 (Dale Rd.), east of Precious Corners. At the gate of 3074, drive up the hill where there is a parking area at the top.
