Next Meeting

Date: Friday, April 19, 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m.)
Speaker: Ted Cheskey
Topic: Birding from the Balcony to Saving Bird Lives
Birding can take many forms—from hiking for miles across various landscapes to staying close to home. In this presentation, Ted Cheskey will discuss the transition from car-dependent listing to birding from the balcony. Along the way, Ted has been doing his part to save bird lives in his yard, and in his country. He says that life has been pretty good, despite the bumpy road, and he looks forward to sharing his story and a few things he has learned along the way. Ted is a lifelong birder and naturalist. Along his life’s trajectory, he has spent about half his professional career as a nature educator, and half in conservation work with a focus on birds.
Note: This meeting takes place a week early, as the Cobourg Public Library needs the space for another event on April 26.
