WBFN allies

As a member of Ontario Nature, WBFN is part of a collective “Nature Network” of like-minded organizations across the province, who together provide a powerful voice for conservation.

The Northumberland Land Trust was founded by Willow Beach Field Naturalists in 2004. Since merging with the Lone Pine Land Trust in 2021, it cares for a remarkable 18 nature reserves within Northumberland.

Advisory committees

WBFN is a member of the Ganaraska Forest User Committee, providing input to the GRCA regarding the impact of the various user groups.

The Rice Lake Plains Partnership is a multi-partner conservation and stewardship project to help protect the unique tall grass prairie and black oak savannah habitats of the area.

WBFN is a member of the Northumberland County Forest Advisory Committee, providing input on natural and cultural heritage issues.
